Activision is launching this month's DLC drops of Modern Warfare 3 content on Xbox LIVE today for Elite premium subscribers. Sanctuary, the 7th MW3 content drop, is placed in a Greek monastery constructed by ancient monks. Foundation, the 8th piece of DLC, happens in a decommissioned concrete factory in South Korea. Thanks to the guys at CharlieIntel we have got some great “overview” videos for each map that you can view below.
Every piece of DLC is going to release first on Xbox Live, with accessibility on PS3 and PC following at a later date.
Elite Drop 7: Sanctuary
“Suspended in the air one thousand feet up, you’ll battle more than altitude in the towering sandstone monasteries of Central Greece. Formed over millions of years, this sanctuary’s natural rock pillars have repelled invading armies and withstood the ravages of time but now they’ll face your deployment. Test your skills – and the ancient monks’ craftsmanship – with your arsenal of SMG’s, assault rifles and shotguns. Just remember: don’t look down.”
Elite Drop 8: Foundation
“Journey into the heart of South Korea for a decommissioned concrete factory where the cement flows and bullets fly. After decades of constructing roads and building, the towering facility is now a perfectly-constructed combat zone for sniping and run-and-gun rules of engagement. Don’t stand in awe of the towering concrete crusher at the center of the factory unless you want to see your kill ratio meet the same fate.”
As always, the Modern Warfare 3 DLC maps can be obtained via the Store area in the Xbox Live portion of Modern Warfare 3. Foundation and Sanctuary are 114MB and 87MB correspondingly.
This is the seventh and eighth DLC drops for MW3 to date and 24 in total are anticipated, and PS3 Elite Subscibers will receive the 4, 5, and 6 DLC drops on the 12th of April.
